Short answer: we're not able to draw them in, but we can usually get you very close.
Club crests, brand logos, replica team kits, and characters from films, TV, or games belong to the companies that created them. Toddles books are printed and sold, so reproducing those would need a licence, and we don't have one. It's the same rule that applies to any book you'd buy in a shop.
What we can create instead
This is usually the good news — the thing that makes a child light up is rarely the logo itself.
Team colours — a red and white striped shirt, an all-blue kit, whatever your team plays in.
Their name and number — your child's own name and their favourite number on the back of a shirt.
The right gear — football boots, goalkeeper's gloves, a plain ball, a stadium full of supporters.
An original hero — a cape, a mask, and a costume of our own design, rather than a specific character from a film.
So "add my team's badge to the ball" isn't something we can do — but "make the ball red and white, and put a number 7 on his shirt" absolutely is.
Would ordering another book help?
No — and we'd rather say so plainly than have you spend money finding out. This is the same for every Toddles book, so a second order would come back the same way. Do still tell us what you were hoping for, though: we keep track of these requests.
What if I mentioned a favourite team or character when I created the book?
That's completely fine, and it helps — it tells us what your child loves. We use it to shape the story: the big match, the winning save, the superhero rescue. What we don't do is draw the badge or the character itself into the pictures.
If you spot something in your preview that looks like a real logo or a character you recognise, please flag it during your review. We'd like to know, and we'll fix it.
Asking for this during your review
If you request one of these when you send your changes, you'll see it marked "Not something we can change", along with a short note explaining why and what we can offer instead. Any other changes in the same request carry on as normal — just remove or reword the flagged one and send it through.
Still not sure? Email us at [email protected] and tell us what you had in mind — we'll tell you honestly what we can do.
