Before you order, we create a free story preview so you can see your child's adventure taking shape. When we email you that your story preview is ready, this is the preview we mean.
What the free story preview shows:
Your story's title and summary - the title, subtitle, and a short summary of the adventure, written around your child's name, details, and interests.
The characters - illustrated portraits of your child, any supporting characters (like a sibling, parent, grandparent, friend, or pet), and any special items in the story, drawn in the illustration style you chose.
Three cover designs - pick your favourite, and it becomes the front cover of your book.
What the free story preview doesn't show:
The preview does not include the 20 story pages or the illustrations inside the book. Those are created after you order. So if you open your preview and see the summary, the characters, and the covers, but no pages to page through, nothing is wrong. That is the complete free preview.
Why is the full book made after I order?
Every Toddles book is written and illustrated from scratch for your child: twenty pages of story, a full illustration for each scene, and a check by our quality team before you see it. That takes real time and care, so we start once your order is placed. The preview lets you see the story, the characters, and the cover first, so you know what you're getting before you buy.
What happens after you order:
We create your full book - all 24 pages: your dedication, a title page, a reading tips page, twenty story pages, and a thank-you page. Our quality team checks it, and it's usually ready for you within 16 business hours. We'll email you the moment it's ready.
You read every page - open your dashboard and go through the story, the illustrations, the cover, and the dedication. You have 48 hours to review it.
Not quite right? Request changes - tap Request Changes and list everything you'd like us to fix. We'll update your book and send it back for another look.
Still not happy? Get a full refund - if you're still not satisfied after we've made your changes, a Request Refund button appears on your dashboard, and your refund is processed instantly.

Can I change my free story preview?
The characters, names, and story in your preview are created from the details and photos you entered, so they can't be edited once the preview is made. You can still open your preview from your dashboard at any time. If you'd like a different character, theme, illustration style, or language, simply start a new book. You only pay when you order, so starting again costs you nothing.
